Somerset Hills Property Management
Residential Property Management in Basking Ridge NJ
Whether you call it Basking Ridge or Bernards Township NJ, you are really referring to the three towns called Basking Ridge, Liberty Corner and Lyons. Once home to an over 600 year old oak tree, downtown Basking Ridge is a quintessential small town enclave with easy access to major highways and New York City. In fact, Bernards Township has 2 train stations – Basking Ridge and Lyons! But sadly, the oak tree met its demise in the fall of 2017.
Basking Ridge was originally settled in the 1720s by British Presbyterians escaping religious persecution. The land was bought from the Lenape Native Americans. Bernards Township was officially chartered on May 21, 1760 granted by King George II and granted to Sir Francis Bernard, first governor of the noted section which includes Basking Ridge.
Along with four other neighboring Somerset County towns – Bedminster, Bernardsville, Far Hills and Peapack-Gladstone – Bernards township is part of “The Somerset Hills.”

We learned of Somerset Hills Property Management from our appointed Realtor. The owner, Joan, was kind enough to take on our project, and little did we know then what we would throw at her. Soon after moving the parents out after 46 years there, she took total control of doing everything we needed.
